  1. Save all your replays and send them to me via DMs on Discord. If you don't know how to send replays, watch this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lefqWcmagbY&t=2s&pbjreload=10 Post your results in the following manner in this thread: Round # (Winner's/Loser's Bracket) Match 1: Player A (Character A) vs. Player B (Character B) - Stage - Winning Player Match 2: Player A (Character A) vs. Player B (Character B) - Stage - Winning Player Match 3: Player A (Character A) vs. Player B (Character B) - Stage - Winning Player Winner ~ Winning Player Score against Losing Player Tournament seeding: I gave to each participant (including myself of course) a rank according to your tournament backgrounds (if you had one), and according to your placements in the Round Robin phase for those who committed to it (naturally). Know that I prioritized top 3 placements in Majors over the number of points earned overall. I took the rankings made by high level players as an inspiration and assigned ranks by taking into account tournaments that were run until now. However, as far as veterans are concerned I couldn't be as precise as I wanted to be since I could only take tournaments from the Dissidia Community YT channel into account in addition to the recent tournaments archived in this forum. If you have any questions as to how I proceeded to assign a rank on a player in particular, please let me know on Discord. http://challonge.com/55f6cfie

  4. Hey there! The idea of creating a tournament came to my mind very late since many tournaments were ran at a decent pace. I got the idea of bringing something special to my tournament because I like variety, so why not hosting one for once? Requirements North American copy of Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy (code ULUS10566 displayed on the savedata folder) PPSSPP version 1.1.1-222 32-bit (provided with the tournament package here: http://tinyurl.com/hmltue2) ZeroTier One: http://dissidia.community/topic/62-how-to-substitute-hamachi/ Discord: https://discord.gg/2D5D8Wf DC Ranked savefile: https://puu.sh/xuT0T/0b9ce188ff.rar Dissidence V4 savefile: https://puu.sh/xuj7t/945f4b59ae.rar Note: it is illegal to share a copy of the DDFF ISO here or on Discord so you have to find it by yourselves for those who do not possess it. General Rules Feral Chaos banned Counter Summons only (Scarmiglione, Cagnazzo, Barbariccia, Rubicante) 1-hit Chase rule* Breakables banned Hacked items banned (http://dissidia.community/topic/17-ddff-ai-only-accesories-hacked/) The Rift & Phantom Train banned Omega Stages banned *1-hit Chase rule: "If you chase after a chase BRV, it must be an empty chase, meaning you don't perform any additional chase attacks." However, you can perform as many chases as you want as long as you hit only once each time. Tournament Format This is a Major tournament, so you are not restricted to play on a specific day. However, once it starts I expect it to last for about one month and two weeks. I will see how it goes and extend it if necessary. I will give more details about this later on this topic. More details on this format: Round Robin for non-veteran players as a first step. The goal is to have an accurate seeding of all participants in order to make fair brackets. Double Elimination once the seedings are made Best of 3 until Semi-Finals Winner's/Loser's Semi-Finals and Finals are Best of 5 Grand Finals is Best of 7 Tournament Rules Save ALL your matches and send the replays to me via DMs on Discord Any rage-quitting behavior, be it "softly" (pressing Start > giving up the match) or "hardly" (closing the PPSSPP, etc.) will result in a disqualification from the tournament. Coin flip is mandatory to determine who begins to pick a stage Blindpicks on both sides Specific Rules Match 1: both players start playing on Official ruleset. A coin flip is necessary to decide on a stage selection. The winner of the coin flip picks a stage. Both players then send a private message with their character pick to a Tournament Organizer The TO announces the characters chosen by the players Match 2: the loser of the previous match chooses the ruleset. The winner chooses the stage. After that both players send their character picks to the TO (blindpicks still applies). Match 3: same process as match 2 List of allowed stages: Old Chaos Shrine Pandemonium World of Darkness Lunar Subterrane Kefka's Tower Planet's Core Ultimecia's Castle Crystal World Dream's End Order's Sanctuary Edge of Madness Empyreal Paradox Sky Fortress Bahamut Orphan's Cradle Pandemonium - Top Floor Crystal Tower Prima Vista List of available rulesets: Official DC Ranked: http://dissidia.community/topic/115-dc-ranked-ruleset-overview/ Dissidence V4: http://dissidia.community/topic/109-dissidence-ruleset-version-4-2306/ Keep in mind that you do not need to use your main savefile to play on DC Ranked or Dissidence V4, everything is set up on these savefiles provided above. Match Scheduling Round Robin phase must be done before proceeding to the Double Elimination phase. In other words, all concerned participants must play everyone once. This phase is made for players who lack tournament background - that way I will be able to make fair brackets afterwards. Double Elimination phase: once you know who you are facing on your next match, make sure to contact your opponent publicly or via private messages to schedule a match and come to an agreement. Round 1 must be completed within a week. Nevertheless, players on the Winner's Bracket shall get more time to schedule their matches since this path is shorter than the Loser's Bracket. Consider this as a favor for accessing and staying in Winner's. Extensions can be granted only if you give a valuable reason. Recommendation If you can play your matches early, please do not hesitate to do so. This would make the management of the tournament easier. Also, make sure to have ready builds before doing your matches to avoid any waste of time. Although you have ready builds on the DC Ranked & Dissidence V4 savefiles, you still can customize each character's skills to your liking as skill builds are personal. However be careful to pay attention to the rules of these rulesets linked above. Sign Up Format Discord Name: IG Name: Timezone: (please use GMT) Tournament Organizers Those who are not interested in participating in my tournament but want to be a Tournament Organizer are welcomed. 8. Rise and Fall - Discussion

Custom DLCs are not allowed since equipping them will automatically provoke a disconnection to both players. As for your request I cannot guarantee that I will wait until November since I, too, have projects in the future. I was thinking about the start date not a long time ago and I will most likely follow my plan. However I shall see how things will unfold, so nothing is confirmed yet as long as the tournament has not started.
  9. Rise and Fall - Discussion

Yeah I understand, but what if I don't manage to reach the sufficient number of participants once the deadline is passed? I'm all hears to find an alternative. Edit: After taking your message into consideration I will most likely announce the start date at the end of the week.
  10. Rise and Fall - Discussion

Yeah it will be long, but the hype will be there for sure! I will announce the start date as soon as I gather enough participants
  11. The purpose of this topic is to know if I have not missed anything regarding the issues this beta had. I have already sent my feedback to the Square Enix Support Team. You will find it below if you are interested to see its content. Do not hesitate to add things I may have forgotten to the Square Enix Support Team : http://sqex.to/MWF. This way this game will be better than ever! P.S. : Hyne talked about a way of getting matches frenquently : "like if peer to peer hosting stays, it may be good for it mm to search within region for a minute before it goes outside". I found it to be interesting and gave my thoughts about it to the Support Team in the 5th paragraph.

  18. The Cycle series announcement & discussion

Irae you are totally right about the weak number of participants in the last major and as you said the different themes are made so that it would be unlikely to have the same winner in several of these tournaments. However even if I think there are not many active people around here, the community should be big enough to welcome more participants. Let us not forget that we managed to get 33 participants in Genesis (I know it is not that many but still), and we do not know how many more players we can gather because we are obviously more than that. There are some people who are just waiting for Arcade to come out, and others who do not play for other reasons, but maybe there will be more people who will show up if they are aware of this kind of event. Let us also not forget that seasons matter too since we are in the month of may. It means that students have probably finished their exams (there are not only students in our community, I am aware of this) and thus can have some free time (let us hope so). HYNE I think your idea would interest many people in the community, so I think you should let everyone know about this in Discord today in order to have a quick feedback and have a general idea of the potential number of participants. The earlier it is done, the better. As for the fifth tournament I would go for DC Ranked. It is always good to test something new and also... overdose of Official ruleset
  19. The Cycle series announcement & discussion

I am most interested in Low Tiers only and Off.Skill themes. Since you are thinking of a way to do signups, then it would be logic for the players to participate in only one of the first four tournaments since the goal of the last one is to pick four winners from the previous tournaments. So it implies that these four winners are all different players. For instance if someone participates in several tournaments and wins at least two of them then there can't be four winners who can compete for the fifth tournament. However the issue would be the lack of participants if this logic is applied since it's region only. And there are not many EU players, few AS players as well, and so on. Only NA players might not have this issue.

  23. Final Fantasy XV

Well I can't agree more to the fact that the game alone should have been enough to fill the holes if I may say. I would be curious to know what they had in mind by releasing parts of the story through the movie along with the anime. I find the idea nice (as I watched the movie at first, then played the game and watched the anime), but as you said not all people are willing to check the other sources or are aware of that so yeah you're right. Just knowing that the game is still unfinished and that new contents release regularly make me happy because there is so much more to discover and to explore.
  24. Final Fantasy XV

I agree with the fact that there's little information about the plot as a whole, even watching the movie isn't enough to have all the pieces of the puzzle assembled. The game in itself is great, nothing to complain about on that part. I hope that the DLCs they add throughout the months will somehow answer our questions in the future. I'm counting on them, no doubt. And if DLCs are here I think it's probably because this project cost so much money that some of them are not free for this reason perhaps, but I know that other ones are free. Take a look at this, it looks promising as far as content goes : http://eu.square-enix.com/en/blog/announcing-free-updates-final-fantasy-xv
