  1. I did before this list was published, they didn't consult me at all about the numbers, hopefully, most of the numbers are better than the old list. I don't agree with Garland and Zidane matchups, they should be 6-4 and 5-5, the rest is ok. Exdeath is much easier to deal with Kuja because NO ONE can omniblock arrows with 100% accuracy, and depending on distance and reaction of the Firion player, omniblocking doesn't mean guarantee hp hit. Kuja can literally punish and dodge everything.
  2. Standards: R is the block button, R+X the dodge input and R+T the dash input; Useful Information: Moves have 4 types of cooldown, (for blocking, dodging, attacking again and dashing, some can coincide), learning them means knwoing what your character can do and when; What is Blodge? A dodge with block frames on the start, allowing you to try staggering opponents without taking a big risk (you stand still after a block and being punished for it gives the opponent 100% critical chance); You do it by pressing R then a quick X, you will hear the block and dodge sounds combined; Why doing blodge? Opponents won't dash in your face all the time if they know you can stagger them after you dodge. Very useful to cover moves with short cooldown for blocking (example: Cloud's Double Cut); To find out if a move has short cooldown for blocking or not is simple, you just keep pressing R and check how much time has passed before you get a block; What is Dash Feint? Its the act of cancelling dash with R then pressing a quick T allowing you to dash in place. Block makes you turn to your opponent so the same input can be applied to change the direction of your dash if it isnt appointing directly to him, can be used to punish dodges for example; Why doing Dash Feint? With the Assist Gauge Up On Dash skill you will be able to build assist metter while being ready to move and hit your opponent, you don't create openings like whiffing+dodging method (not really opening for Prishe, but she is broken); More useful for characters with a really quick move and that needs to stay really close to hit (examples: Cloud, Tidus, Zidane); Is this the key of winning? NO, knowing characters' cooldowns, what and when to do something is much more important. Besides, trying these tech without training enough makes your attempts become unnintended blocks so in the end you might LOSE EVEN FASTER; How to train them? First you do it offline (unless you want to look stuped and lose faster), then you create a quest. Put Gabranth as your opponent with all his moves (like a normal build) then put Side By Side accessory on him so he can never hit with HP moves, choose The Rift stage to get the most space as possible. Gabranth's moves are slow so if you want to blodge an actual attack its easier to do on him, but you can always check if you are doing it right by hearing the block sound after a dodge; Warning: the tech is harder to do with lag, but never impossible.
  3. I really didn't think about them, people usually avoid stages with banish traps anyway. Jumps can be reset with quickmove as well.
  4. This ruleset was created to make hitconfirms more balanced in a way. Me and Justice, the individuals that came up with this ruleset's first version, felt that high bravery builds with side by side and/or huge depletion made blocks too much rewarding and discouraged being agressive for the one who got hit by an hp attack, while a bravery attack have very little rewards (to prove that, the parameter people use in most situations to assist change out of an attack is if its hp or bravery damage). Besides, having your assist locked can become unnecesary 15 seconds of running/camping/waiting. We wanted something different from jp ranked too, so we buffed ex through custom ruleset and damage through builds. I also thought that the critcal attack system is not balanced because of frame differences, attack position and guard breaking properties that some characters have and others dont for absolutely no reason but Square Enix being dumb. Now I will show the complete changelog of the Dissidence ruleset in its current version (v3). I am always up for discussions about what should be changed to make the ruleset better. Ruleset (values of the options when you start making a new ruleset) - The original values will be on the right Initial Stage Bravery - 50 (100) Stage Bravery Recovery Time - 100 (100) Banish Trap Damage - 100 (100) Warp Damage - 100 (100) Critical Hit Rate - 0 (100) - That disables crtis in EVERYTHING, including block punishes and ex burst Critical Damage - 100 (100) Ex Core Appearence Rate - 100 (100) Ex Core Absorption - 200 (100) Ex Force Absortion - 200 (100) Ex Mode Duration - 25 (20) Wall Rush Damage - 25 (25) Bravery Bonus - 10 (10) Stage Bravery - 100 (100) Assist Break Rate - 100 (100) Ex Break Rate - 0 (100) Assist Gauge Charge (Attack) - 100 (100) NEW - Back to version 3 values through attractorb accessory Assist Gauge Charge (Hit) - 400 (100) NEW - Balanced through attractorb accessory Assist Lock Duration - 0 (100) Assist Gauge Depletion Rate - 100 (100) Ex Damage From Assist - 200 (100) Ex Revenge Duration - 1 (5) NEW - You can't build massive amounts of bravery through EXR and finish with an hp Now, BAN EVERYTHING ELSE (summons, artefacts, bonus, equips), EXCEPT what is on the following build, makes sure people are on track when dissidence ruleset is selected Using reverse dash to build assist is banned. NEW - The only allowed extra skills are Precision types, Equipment Master types, Exp to Ex Force and Bravery Regen. Dissidence v4 Build Example (don't mind the lack of assist and choice of moves): In my tournaments I made a rule to ban top tier assist as well, but that was to give the games some fresh air and rare to see combos. That may balance something too, like reducing the rewards on assist punishing that the low tiers suffer so much. The top tier assist are: Kuja, Jecht, Yuna, Aerith, Sephiroth and Tidus.   9. I use the emulator, ppsspp. My psp broke long ago, its what we use to play online nowadays too, its awesome. With that we play with high resolution and our favorite controller. For some bizarre reason, Maybe Im a Lion breakes the game music when played, even on the jukebox.

  11. @agl89 hey man, how youre doin? There is a bug for quite some time now, everytime i choose "Maybe Im A Lion" DLC song from the DLC pack of FFVIII all the game music vanish and after the match, the game crashes. Is it just me?
  12. Flame Saber and Cutting Trigger are almost the same in game (FFVIII) I mentioned Flame Saber because it has a brighter red (which I prefer). The one you made has that vivid color so its cool. I prefer them added to the original Squall DLC only, since its the one i use the most. I cant decide between these gunblades, they look so good man, good work (maybe you should do DLC5 and DLC6). Btw, I have another request, a OST pack that replaces the official DLC songs with their psp versions because 8-bit stuff makes me MAD. Think this as my birthday gift (yes, I wrote this post in my birthday).

  14. Thanks man, your stuff are the best! I only wished that custom DLC didnt cause DC during online matches, I would be glad to replace that Amano crap outta Squall everytime! Have you considered original Squall (red belt) with Flame Saber? I find it a very nice combination.
