Yaag uses a varied weapon set between his sword, various guns, and different boosts he’s able to give himself. However only one Manadrive can be active at a time, and only lasts a few seconds. In EX-Mode he gains effects similar to Laguna’s and his Manadrives last much longer. Through his Yaag has a weapon for each range and situation.

BRV Ground Attacks

  • Sanctify: Ravage the opponent with a multitude of slashes
  • Bazooka: Fire off a high-speed missile with a large, on contact explosion

  • Flag Strike Point (Both): Throws a Targeting Beacon that summons an orbital strike to where it lands. Can be charged to increase distance.

EX-Mode: Limiters Deactivate
“If I am to die then so be it!”

  • Regen: Vigor and stamina recover little by little, restoring HP
  • Charging Manadrive: Manadrive effects last longer
  • Manadrive Haste: Reduces startup and recovery frames

EX-Burst: Annihilation Mode

Thrust forward with the saber before kicking the opponent into the EX-Zone, at which point Yaag teleports into the Proudclad, bringing up an ATB gauge. Four skills are available: Laser (1), Laser Barrage (2), Retaliatory Strike (2), and Oneiric Maelstrom(3). Laser has its normal effect, Oneiric Maelstrom deals Brave damage rather than HP damage, Laser Barrage summons an array of high-powered rifles to rain down much stronger lasers, and Retaliatory Strike does nothing.

Selecting Laser, Laser Barrage, and Oneiric Maelstrom in that order will activate Moun Blaster; which fires off a giant energy beam that will deal HP damage on the final hit. If any other selection is made he will instead fire off a large amount of guided missiles to deal HP damage.

Spoiler

Yaag is a support heavy Shoot type who started around the battle field laying down gunfire and explosions while utilizing his Manadrives to empower his allies. His attacks tend to cover a wide range while keeping his adversaries away from him and pin them down for easier follow up from allies.

Assault BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Rifle Storm. Gun down the target with a PSICOM infantry rifle. Allows strafe while doing so.
  • g.^O: Bazooka. Blast the target away with a high-speed missile that explodes on contact. The explosion is able to splash onto other adversaries as well.

  • a.O: MLRS Volley. Shoot down the target with a high-powered sniper rifle. It comes with a jetpack to allow hovering and horizontal movement while aiming.
  • a.^O: Missile Burst. Rain down heat-seeking missiles on the target, barraging them with a series of explosions that can splash onto their allies. It comes equipped with a jetpack to allow hovering and horizontal movement while firing.
  • Dash: Sanctify. Slash wildly with with the momentum from a quick dash, followed up with a grenade toss after knocking the target away. The explosion can splash onto other adversaries as well.

Support BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Manadrive: Bravery. Yaag grants himself and nearby allies increased damage for a short time.
  • g.^O: Manadrive: Protect. Yaag grants himself and nearby allies increased defense for a short time.
  • a.O: Manadrive: Bravery. Yaag grants himself and nearby allies increased damage for a short time.
  • a.^O: Manadrive: Protect. Yaag grants himself and nearby allies increased defense for a short time.
  • Dash: Manadrive: Haste. Yaag grants himself and nearby allies increased speed for a short time.

Special Ability
L3: Paradigm shift. Switches BRV attacks between Assault and Support paradigms.

HP Attacks

  1. Laser Barrage: The Proudclad’s laser cannons come down and rain a co-ordinated blast upon a single target, the shots colliding and causing a massive explosion. The explosion can splash onto other adversaries.
  2. Retaliatory Strike: The Prodclad’s laser cannons form a shield. Should they be struck they will flip back and relentlessly shoot down whoever struck them.
  3. Oneiric Maelstrom: The Proudclad lends its missile launchers and rains down a series of missiles at a wide angle, attempting to blast the whole enemy party at once. It is very difficult to control however, and has no tracking once the move starts.
  4. Moun Blaster: The Proudclad brings forth its primary cannon, blasting out a gigantic wave beam to annihilate its target. The blast can be delayed for a time before firing and continues to track the opponent even after the beam starts up, but leaves Yaag incredibly vulnerable until it's dismissed.

Unique Ex-Skill
Release Limiters: For a short period of time Yaag’s mana drives last longer, explosions are larger, HP attacks come out faster, and gunfire hits harder. However, during this state his Bravery is rapidly draining. Should he be inflicted by Brave Break this enhanced state will immediately end.

Character Gimmick: Vincent Valentine is to Laguna what Firion is to Vaan, in a sense. A heavy, versatile long range attacker with less attack lag, albeit with lower general damage output, without sacrificing versatility. He still suffers at close range, however, and outside of specific HP attacks requires distance from his opponent to work properly. His EX-Mode is centered around boosting his keep away game, lowering the end lag of his weapons and allowing him to glide at will. He can have difficulties landing HP attacks without an assist, however, as the transformation times can leave him vulnerable despite their raw power.

BRV Ground Attacks

  • Scissor Kick: Three swift strikes that launch the opponent into the air
  • Griffon (Ground): A heavy machine gun that fires rapidly at close-mid range while allowing Vincent to stay mobile
  • Cerberus (Ground): A triple barreled handgun that can fire at mid-long range while allowing Vincent to stay mobile

  • Nightmare: Vincent transforms into Hellmasker and releases a burst of energy around the opponent after a short duration. Can be charged to increase damage.
  • Death Penalty (Air): Vincent pulls out his ultimate gun and charges up energy into it before shooting the opponent. Charge can increase range and attack duration.

EX-Mode: Proto-Materia
“Awaken, my inner chaos…”

  • Regen: Vigor and stamina recover little by little, restoring HP
  • Glide: Utilize demonic wings to move freely through the air
  • Auto Reloader: Remove the reload animation for all guns.

EX-Burst: Chaos
“Limits are made to be broken!”

Chaos Vincent summons an energy blade from his hand and darts across the enemy several times, slashing wildly. Pressing O rapidly increases the rate at which he attacks as he begins to resonate with his Proto-Materia. If the gauge is filled then he will finish them with Satan Slam, summoning a gigantic skull to eat the opponent. Otherwise he finishes with an energy blast from Death Penalty.

Arcade Type

Spoiler

Type: Unique

Vincent Valentine is, at first glance, a stereotypical gun-based shoot type. In his basic form he is primarily centered around mid range DPS through his different firearms while knocking people away with his dash attack. However his choice in HP Attack dramatically changes how he plays due to his EX-Skill, allowing him to transform into the creature chosen as his HP Attack for a time, completely changing up his moveset and playstyle until either he receives HP Damage or a short period of time passes.

BRV Ground Attacks
g.O: Cerberus. Allows him to strife while using.
g.^O: Griffon. Allows him to strife while using.

g.O: Cerberus. Pushes Vincent back a bit while shooting.
g.^O: Hydra. Can hold to manually aim, ricochet bullets, and hover in the air briefly

Dash: Crushing Strike. A spinning punch that slams the opponent into a wall.

HP Attacks
Galiant Beast: Summons a gigantic fireball in his hand and throws it forward, with the flame erupting violently.
Death Gigas: Blast energy forth in a devastating stream of electricity
Hellmasker: Slash wildly at the opponent with a chainsaw
Chaos: Shoots a skull at the enemy that tracks them to a degree

Unique Ex-Skill: Proto-Materia
Vincent makes a full transformation to the beast currently equipped as his HP Attack for a time, giving him temporary buffs to attack and defense, healing him slightly, refilling his Dash gauge, and changing his moveset. Should he be hit by an HP attack, however, it will force him out of this state prematurely. The Ex-Skill effects for each transformation:

Galian Beast
Guns: Fire II. Brave variation of pre-transformation Galian Beast HP attack
Dash: Berserk Dance. Galiant Beast wildly slashes at the opponent, ending in a powerful, cleaning slash that wall rushes opponents.
HP: Beast Flare. Bursts of flame rapidly spew from Galian Beast’s mouth, exploding violently against whatever they come into contact with.

Death Gigas
Guns: Bolt II. Brave variation of pre-transformation Death Gigas HP attack
Dash: Gigadunk. After darting a short distance forward Death Gigas grabs an opponent and drags them through the air and into the ground, dealing damage both during the drop and on impact.
HP: Livewire. Electricity spews forth in every direction from Death Gigas, electrocuting anyone nearby him after locking them in a constant stream of damage.

Hellmasker
Guns: Ice II. A weak bolt of ice follows after the opponent, chasing them across the stage for a time.
Dash: Nightmare. Hellmasker summons forth the targets fears, stunning them while inflicting Poison, Deprotect, and Debravery.
HP: Splattercombo. Hellmasker slashes wildly at his opponent, causing an extended version of the pre-transformation HP Attack.

Chaos
Guns: Death Penalty. Chaos fires a beam of energy that rapidly damages opponents and holds them in place.
Dash: Chaos Saber. A beam of energy forms on Chaos’ hand, allowing a string of attacks that hit in a wide radius.
HP: Satan Slam. A giant skull appears surround an opponent, attempting to swallow them whole.

“Hallowed father of Eidolons, come down from the heavens and destroy those that would stand before you!”

Arcade Version

Spoiler

Type: Shoot

Like most shoot types Rydia is a keep away character who focuses on staying inside the back line. Though many of her bravery attacks are single target focused and mainly help to keep enemies off of her she can use her EX-Skill to passively boost her defensive abilities.

Her HP attacks function very differently than most, however, as she holds [_] to fill up a secondary summon gauge exclusive to her own summons. Though she may charge this gauge at any time Rydia cannot summon her HP attack until it is full. Due to this, however, her personal summons tend to attack with similar ferocity as party summons.

BRV Attacks
  • g.O: Lashings: Rydia whips the opponent three times, popping them up on the third either towards her or away, depending on directional input.
  • g.^O: Blizzara: Shoot forth two waves of three icicles, both homing in on the opponent.
  • g.vO: Stardust Rod: Swing around the rod to shoot stars in a shotgun spread ahead of Rydia.

  • a.O: Whiplash: Whip the opponent away. Excellent vertical tracking.
  • a.^O: Thundara: Consecutive bolts of lightning come down ahead of Rydia, entrapping opponents.
  • a.vO: Stardust Rod: Thrust the rod forward to shoot out a stream of stars in a cone.

  • Dash: Fira: Spin back and summon forth pillars of flame to entrap the opponent.

HP Attacks

  1. Gaia’s Wrath: After repeating the summoning chant Titan ruptures from the ground below and slams down both fists to raise the earth around him.
  2. Radiant Breath: After repeating the summoning chant a Dragon made from fog surrounds Rydia, acting as a shield as it breaths out holy mist around it's summoner.
  3. Tidal Wave: After repeating the summoning chant Leviathan jets forth across the stage, carrying a tsunami in it's wake.
  4. Mega Flare: After repeating the summoning chant Bahamut flies overhead, blasting down rays of energy onto the battlefield.

Unique Ex-Skill

Mist Ring: Mist envelops Rydia and protects her, letting her dodge out of Brave attacks and granting invincibility during dashes for a short time.

Edgar’s bravery attacks, similar to Shantotto, are based more around utility than actual offense, giving him access to a wide range of moves for different situations while his main source of Brave damage from his tools is actually in his Drill and Chainsaw HP attacks. However he also has a sword at his side, which changes into a spear during EX-Mode.

A few other notes about EX-Mode is that it slightly changes the way his Brave attacks work, though it doesn’t change their function or damage output, and his machines come out faster than they normally would.

BRV Ground Attacks

  • Swordplay: [Close] A dance of slashes, advancing forward with the blade. Short range, but quick execution.
  • Fencing: [Close] A series of thrusts, ending in a lunging strike.

    |___HP: Bio Blaster (Ground): [Combo from Debilitator] Envelopes the enemy in a mist of deadly poison before shooting them away with a blast of air, dispelling the gas.

  • Sinking Castle: [Fall] Slash downwards, thrust up and descend downwards upon the opponent.
  • Auto Crossbow (Air): [Long] Releases a barrage of bolts at the opponent through a high-tech crossbow.
  • Noise Blaster (Air): [Special] A quick shockwave of sound, interrupting any attacks within a short radius in front.
    “Sorry, can't quite hear you!”
  • Debilitator (Air): [Guard] Releases a field of energy, acting as a shield. If it blocks the opponent’s attack a notification similar to when a character uses an HP attack or enters EX-Mode appears stating that the opponent is “Now Weak Against Poison”.
    “Careful now!”
Upon block: “You left an opening!”
    |___HP: Bio Blaster (Air): [Combo from Debilitator] Envelopes the enemy in a mist of deadly poison before shooting them away with a blast of air, dispelling the gas.

HP Ground Attacks

  • Drill: Dash forward with a massive drill, dealing constant damage to an opponent while charging. Ends prematurely if used near a wall or obstacle.
    “Here I come!”
  • Flash (Ground): Edgar pulls out a large machine and flashes a bright light in front of him, dealing HP damage and knockback. Can be charged to increase the range of the light blast.
    “Blinded, are we?”
At full charge: "Absolutely radiant, isn't it?"

HP Aerial Attacks

  • Chainsaw: Edgar revs up the chainsaw before spinning forward. If he makes contact with the opponent he will spin around them, dealing constant damage before knocking them away.
  • Flash (Ground): Edgar pulls out a large machine and flashes a bright light in front of him, dealing HP damage and knockback. Can be charged to increase the range of the light blast.
    “Blinded, are we?”
At full charge: "Absolutely radiant, isn't it?"

EX-Mode: Equip Longinus
“Now you’re in for a treat!”

  • Regen: Vigor and stamina recover little by little, restoring HP
  • Longinus [RANGE]: Massively increases melee range
  • Machinery: Decreases the delay for him to use different tools.

EX-Burst: Tools
Upon activation Edgar blasts the opponent into the EX-Zone by utilizing the Noise Blaster. Once in a Final Fantasy VI style menu appears at the bottom of the screen, with the game prompting you to choose “Air Anchor” from the tools menu. If selected Edgar will pull out the Air Anchor and shooting the opponent with it, causing a massive explosion when the opponent reels back from damage.

“Move and your dust!”

After which he’s flashily flip his cape to the side while turning around, striking a pose as a ray of energy comes from below the opponent, labeled “Royal Shock”.

“Stunning, aren’t I?”

If Air Anchor is not selected within a certain amount of time it will skip straight to Royal Shock.

Arcade Type

Spoiler

Type: Heavy

Edgar utilizes his tools to debilitate foes and keep them at a distance, fighting at mid range to keep opponents off him and his allies while keeping up pressure with his Auto-Crossbow at the end of most Brave attacks alongside fast and effective HP attacks

He also can inflict certain status conditions on his opponents without the aid of EX-Skills, allowing him to cripple his opponents without needing to keep up constant aggression.

BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Swordplay. A series of spinning strikes followed by a lunging thrust. Ends in Edgar shooting a volley of arrows as the enemy flies off.
  • g.^O: Fencing. A series of advancing thrusts followed by a quick spinning strike. Ends in Edgar shooting a volley of arrows as the enemy flies off.
  • g.vO: Debilitator & Bio Blaster. Activate an energy field around Edgar before shooting poison gas forward with a separate tool. Enemies that are caught in the energy field will take residual damage similar to the Bioga EX-Skill, while others will just take standard BRV damage.

  • a.O: Sinking Castle. Edgar slashes twice in the air with his sword before swinging himself above the opponent and quickly diving down through them. Ends in Edgar shooting a volley of arrows as the enemy flies off.
  • a.^O: Shooting Star. Edgar thrusts up with his sword, prodding the enemy with it before flinging them back towards the ground. Ends in Edgar shooting a volley of arrows as the enemy flies off.
  • a.vO: Debilitator & Bio Blaster. Activate an energy field around Edgar before shooting poison gas forward with a separate tool. Enemies that are caught in the energy field will take residual damage similar to the Bioga EX-Skill, while others will just take standard BRV damage.
  • Dash: Noise Blaster. Stun any opponent hit by the sonic waves

HP Attacks

  1. Flash: Deal quick HP damage to anyone directly in front of Edgar. If they are not defeated they are inflicted with Blind, greatly decreasing their field of vision and removing their radar.
  2. Drill: Rush forward with a mighty drill in hand, piercing the opponent and rapidly dealing BRV damage to them before blasting them away.
  3. Chainsaw: Spin towards the enemy with a chainsaw, potentially catching anyone nearby and dealing Brave damage to everyone within reach before pulling down a hockey mask and knocking them back with the Chainsaw’s transformed state.
  4. Air Anchor: Shoot a hook-like bomb at the opponent. Once it latches on it will explode the next time the opponent moves, dealing HP damage after giving Edgar a short moment to gain a bit more Brave. Should he miss it will not explode.

Unique Ex-Skill

Royal Shock: Edgar surrounds himself in a grand light, protecting him from incoming damage and rapidly dealing BRV damage to all those nearby him.

I seem to make a lot of tech based characters and shoot types, don't I?

Edit: Changed his spear in Arcade ver. to a sword since that's what he uses in Brave Exvius.

Dyxo, I dunno if you're still active, but I'm loving your character moveset, especially Rydia's design. :) She'd be my secondary.

I am no longer dead, thanks to a new computer. Glad to know people are liking my designs so far, and I will admit Rydia was especially fun to make for both her summoning quotes in the 012 ver. and figuring out how to make a summoner that's definitely NOT Yuna.

Also while I will be transfering more movesets in later, I am going to go back and update old ones with some generic out-of-battle quotes (nothing character specific) and some musical themes.

Edit: Some of these quotes feel... a bit off. Any help/suggestions on character quotes would be appreciated.

I have some suggestions on Rydia's quotes:

By FF4 lore (at least the DS version), Shiva, and Ifrit are not gods, not to humans or eidolons. The only god of the eidolons is Bahamut (also known as the Father). Leviathan is the King, Asura is the Queen. You might want to give them other titles. As for what... my suggestion would be... "Master of Fire" or "Lord of Flames" for Ifrit. Shiva would have "Mistress of Ice," or "Maiden of the Blizzard."

Just some ideas. :)

Paine is a very complex character, working with three full movesets at any given time that have minimal interaction with each other under normal conditions. However, if properly combined Paine's dresspheres can offer her a wide and varied arsenal of tools. Warrior offers better direct rushdown and combo-ability, Samurai is an incredibly high-damage - yet slow - class with most of it’s attacks being single-hit moves, and Dark Knight being filled with tricky attacks that can deal extreme damage in a high-risk, high-reward format by damaging themselves.

BRV Ground Attacks

Warrior

  • Sentinel: Paine briefly pulls up a frontal guard with High Block priority. If struck with a melee attack she may swiftly reply with a slash.
  • Liquid Steel: Paine does a spinning slash forward, attacking the opponent with a blade of water. If the HP link isn’t activated a powerful wave can carry the opponent away instead.
  • |___HP Link: Demi Sword A: Paine slashes the opponent with a gravity-disrupting attack, rapidly damaging the opponent before slamming them against the ground.
  • Ice Brand: Paine slashes upward to pop up the opponent with an icicle. If the HP link isn’t activated she may strike again to carry herself and the opponent into the skies with a growing ice cluster.
  • |___HP Link: Demi Sword B: Paine slashes the opponent with a gravity-disrupting attack, rapidly damaging the opponent before slamming them against the ground.
  • Delay Strike: Paine punches the opponent, with a delayed knockback effect.

Dark Knight
Confuse: Paine strikes the opponent with arcane magic, mixing up their controls for a time.
Doom: Paine strikes the opponent with arcane magic, creating a count-timer over their BRV bar. When the timer hits zero, they are instantly BRV Broken. The timer can be dismissed by BRV breaking Paine, however.

Samurai

  • Dismissal: Paine interrupts the opponent with a wave of the hand if they’re close.
  • Gil Toss: A strange attack that deals damage based on current BRV
  • Magicide: A single attack that knocks the opponent away
  • Nonpareil: Increases Paine’s ATK for a short time
  • No Fear: Increases Paine’s DEF for a short period
  • Hayate: Increases Paine’s attack and dodge speed for a short period

BRV Aerial Attacks

Warrior

  • Flametongue: Paine cuts through the air with a flaming sword. If the HP link isn’t activated she may set her sword fully ablaze and rapidly damage the opponent with a spinning slash.
  • |___HP Link: Demi Sword C: Paine slashes the opponent with a gravity-disrupting attack, rapidly damaging the opponent before slamming them against the ground.
  • Thunder Blade: Paine flicks an electrified sword upward. If the HP link doesn’t connect she can follow up with a lightning-fast downward descent that leaves a trail of electricity behind her. Can combo into  the BRV extension on whif.
  • |___HP Link: Demi Sword D: Paine slashes the opponent with a gravity-disrupting attack, rapidly damaging the opponent before slamming them against the ground.
  • Delay Buster: Paine slashes at the opponent, with a delayed knockback effect and keeping them from falling.

Dark Knight

  • Confuse: Paine strikes the opponent with arcane magic, mixing up their controls for a time.
  • Doom: Paine strikes the opponent with arcane magic, creating a count-timer over their BRV bar.

HP Ground Attacks

Warrior

  • Assault: Paine slashes violently at the opponent in a relentless assault
  • Excalibur: Paine charges holy magic into her sword, slashing at a wide arc around her
“This is the part where you get hurt.”

Dark Knight

  • Demi: An arcane incantation that deals damage at a fraction rather than in full.
  • Darkness: A strange attack that hurts Paine rather than depleting BRV upon dealing damage. Recoil damage is 1-1 with how much damage the opponent took.
    No pain, no gain.
  • Break: An arcane incantation that encases the opponent in stone before shattering it around them. Deals damage normally.

Samurai

  • Shin-Zantetsu: Paine slashes forth a wave of energy with an increased Iai Strike chance before dealing HP damage.
"I'll be taking your life now."
  • Sparkler: Paine fires off a bottle rocket at the opponent, dealing HP damage with a pretty light show.

HP Aerial Attacks

  • Black Sky: An arcane incantation that rains darkness from all around, creating a nigh-inescapable attack bubble around Paine at the cost of her own health instead of BRV. Recoil damage is 1-1 with how much damage the opponent took.
“There’s enough Paine to go around.”
  • Death: An arcane incantation that strikes the opponent’s soul directly with powerful magic. Deals damage normally.

Samurai

  • Zantetsu: Paine slashes forward through the air with an increased Iai Strike chance before dealing HP damage.
"Keep your eye on the blade."
  • Fireworks: Paine erupts the battle field in lights and explosions as several bottle rockets go flying towards the opponent

EX-Mode: Job Mastered!
“All I need is my sword” If in Warrior upon entering EX-Mode
“Darkness is my ally” If in Dark Knight upon entering EX-Mode
“This blade needs a new sheath” If in Samurai upon entering EX-Mode

  • Regen: Vigor and stamina recover little by little, restoring HP
  • SOS-Protect: While in Warrior garb Paine’s defense increases as her health drops
  • Drain: While in Dark Knight garb pressing R+[_] allows her to drain the opponent’s HP
  • Mirror of Equity: While in Samurai garb Paine’s attack increases as her health drops

EX-Burst: Full Throttle
“You’ve picked your last fight!”

The Garment Grid lights up as Paine morphs into the angelic Full Throttle dressphere. Once having taken up this form, the Player gains access to it’s central body and wings, selecting the ideal attacks to make it do optimal damage.

If the player selects,

  • Torso -> Sword Dance
  • Dextral -> Still Wing
  • Sinistral -> Steel Feather

Then they deal an extreme amount of damage to the opponent in a dance-like flurry. Entering any other combination will merely result in the three parts attacking independently.

Arcade Type

Spoiler

Type: Unique

Not unlike Bartz, Paine is centered around quickly shifting in and out of different dresspheres to fit whatever the situation needs. However instead of mastering jobs to gain bonuses from them, instead she gains an additional effect when she activates Full Throttle, thus encouraging an even use of all abilities to maximize her EX-Ability’s effect.

BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Berserker. Paine glows red as she animalistically claws at her opponent before kicking them away.
  • g.^O: Samurai. Paine takes hold of a katana, charging the attack as long as O is held. Once released she will send out a wave of energy before darting forward across the field.
  • g.vO: Gunner. Paine pulls out two pistols and rapidly shoots her target, able to quickly cancel out of the attack with a dodge or sustain it by continuously pressing O.

  • a.O: Warrior. Paine brings out her signature sword, slashing the opponent four times; one for each element. At the end of the attack she can follow up with one of three finishers;
    • O: Paine glows red and spins forward with her blade in reverse grip, sending the opponent flying back.
    • ^O: Paine slashes upward with her blade in reverse grip, holy light shining forth to send the opponent upwards.
    • vO: Pain slashes downward with the blade in reverse grip, causing a gravity bubble that sends the opponent crashing into the ground.
  • a.^O: Thief. Paine flies through the air in a spinning slash with one dagger, a stab from the other, and finishing by kicking the opponent away from her as she steals extra Bravery.
  • a.vO: Black Mage. Paine sends out two magical orbs, one bursting into flames and the other bursting into water. If it lands she may follow up by sending a bolt of lightning down to carry the opponent up a short distance before knocking them down with an icicle.

  • Dash: White Mage. Paine holds her staff in the air as healing light washes over her, recovering Bravery for herself and nearby allies.

HP Attacks

  1. Gun Mage. Paine scans her opponent before firing an enlarged bullet at them. Can be charged to increase range and projectile size.
  2. Dark Knight. Paine holds her blade up towards the sky, channeling arcane power as globs of darkness rain down around her.
  3. Alchemist. Paine mixes together several items before loading them into a large rifle, firing it forward. After a few moment s the shell explodes, and anyone caught by it and survives is afflicted with Confusion and Poison.
  4. Lady Luck. A slot machine appears over Paine’s head, spinning rapidly before popping out 777. When it does Paine casts Ultima, surrounding the area in front of Paine in magical energy before exploding violently.

Unique Ex-Skill

Full Throttle: Paine sphere shifts into Full Throttle, a special dressphere that grows stronger based on how many different attacks have successfully landed since its last activation. While in this state she has extremely high super armor.

  • Berserker: Full Throttle inflicts Debrave on whoever it hits.
  • Samurai: Full Throttle inflicts Deprotect on whoever it hits.
  • Gunner: Increases Full Throttle’s hit count.
  • Warrior: Full Throttle grants Bravery on all allies.
  • Thief: Full Throttle grants Haste on all allies.
  • Black Mage: Increases Full Throttle’s damage.
  • White Mage: Full Throttle grants Protect on all allies.
  • Gun Mage: Full Throttle deals HP damage.
  • Dark Knight: Full Throttle inflicts Doom on whoever it hits.
  • Alchemist: Full Throttle inflicts Poison on whoever it hits.
  • Lady Luck: Full Throttle inflicts Confusion on whoever it hits.

Notes

Originally her Arcade Type was just the 012 version but without Dark Knight, however this felt unsatisfying compared to Bartz; so I altered her moveset to be more like his than "Dyxo makes another paradigm shifter." Cause eventually I'm going to have all the major characters from XIII (barring Lightning, of course) done up at some point. If you guys want though I can post that one anyways.

Also for a slight clarification: The reason she doesn't have Tidus and Yuna's dungeon theme is because technically Paine isn't from X. To my knowledge she's a new character to X-2. Rikku would probably get Via Purifico, however, as she probably wouldn't ended up with her move set heavily based in X-2 as well. Unless...

Shoot Type Alchemist/Thief Rikku?

HP Aerial Attacks

After knocking them into the EX-Zone a Gestalt Gauge is pulled up alongside Snow. Following it’s instructions will allow him to batter the opponent several time with Nix’s Wheel, racking up BRV damage against the opponent.

“Yeehaw, Haha!!!”

Once the Gestalt Gauge empties Snow will spin the wheel around himself to cause ice to freeze everything in the vicinity. After a brief moment the ice shatters violently, dealing the final hit of HP Damage

“Haha, fun times.”

Arcade Type

Spoiler

Type: Heavy

Snow Villiers is built to be a traditional tank, switching between an attack role in Commando and a defensive role with Sentinel. His Sentinel role allows Snow to draw in attackers using Provoke or defend against oncoming attacks; while Commando is more centered around punishing the opponent for attacking Snow while he’s defending or catching an opponent off guard.

Commando BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Scourge: A flurry of blows that ends in a powerful strike.
  • g.^O: Ruinga: Send out an orb of energy that explodes violently after a few moments, sending opponents into the air.

  • a.O: Smite: A series of punches that ends in a downward strike that knocks the opponent to the ground.
  • a.^O: Ruin: A string of magical orbs that chase down and impact the opponent.

  • Dash: Launch: A momentum fueled kick followed by an uppercut to knock the opponent skyward.

Sentinel BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Mediguard: Defend from incoming attacks while slowly gaining Brave
  • g.^O: Entrench: Ready a powerful attack while defending. If hit or reaches charge level 3 Snow will automatically attack.

  • a.O: Steel Guard: A steadfast guard that protects the user from many incoming attacks.
  • a.^O: Vendetta: A brief parry that immediately counters. Damage scales with the strength of the attack parried.

  • Dash: Provoke: Forces nearby enemies to target Snow briefly.

HP Attacks

  1. Wheel Grind: Snow tosses Nix’s wheel forward at his target, rapidly depleting the opponent’s Bravery by grinding up against them before it deals HP damage.
  2. Spin Freeze: Snow throws Nix’s wheel around him, making a cyclone of ice that hold opponents in place for a short moment before knocking them upwards.
  3. Icicle Drift: Snow rides forward atop Nix’s wheel, dealing HP damage to all enemies in his path.
  4. Ice Ramp: Snow rises a short distance into the air, tossing Nix’s wheel upward while briefly creating a wall of ice in front of him. Ice Wall may guard incoming attacks.

Unique Ex-Skill

Sovereign Fist: Snow leaps high into the air, slamming his fist upon the ground and dealing damage in a radius around him. The impact shockwave’s size and maximum range scale with Snow’s bravery.

Notes

So considering that in Arcade Ramza is Gabranth Lite and Vaan is CoD Lite, then wouldn't it make sense for Snow to be ExDeath Lite? Granted he has way more directly offensive capabilities than ExDeath, but in Sentinel they could be comparable to a small degree. Of course Commando really voids my argument, doesn't it?

EDIT: Now that ExDeath has been released in Arcade, Snow fills his original role better than he does as a defensive powerhouse. Granted, I don't think this is a bad thing. Just means that he's the hero Arcade needs.

Also every fiber of my being wants to make the EX-Skill version Sovereign Fist an HP attack since it's an instant KO in XIII-2 and instantly depletes the Stagger gauge in XIII, but that feels a bit unfair and doesn't match the theme of XIII's HP attacks. Of course, Kain gets away with having an HP EX-Skill, so maybe Fang's Highwind will be an HP attack?

Once the Gestalt gauge is emptied Vanille charged energy into the central firing unit, releasing it outward as a giant blast of energy in all directions that consumes both Hecatoncheir and the opponent.

From looking at these custom movesets... is it just me or do the Arcade characters have less options? I want another 012, not Arcade if Arcade is going to be boring like that.

The arcade characters have less options on their own, since in a match they're only allowed one HP attack, but I'd like to point out: 3 characters. The amount of combo potential that this opens up is astonishing, really, and if the characters had access to the options that they did in 012, it would utterly break the game and not in a good way as there would be so much stuff on screen (even more than there already is) that even the most experienced veteran would have a ton of problems keeping track of the action. At least, that's my explanation for it. Probably one of the more experienced players could give a better reason.

To further elaborate on what Poiman was talking about, team based game tend to be more simple to begin with. Its why I include both 012 and Arcade versions of each character, to better show of my intended "gimmick" for them and give a display of the difference between a 1v1 arena fighter and a team based fighter.

I'd like to say Snow and Vincent are probably my most versatile Arcade move sets given that Snow fills a role that is almost nonexistent in Arcade currently, a more traditional tank, while Vincent just straight up changes his play style based on what HP attack he has.

Noctis is a versatile fighter, having six different weapons he can call upon with varying effects. Many have both ground and air functions, but even these variations can be wildly different. When he hits EX-Mode he gains access to Royal Arms, making it so that now each individual move calls upon a different weapon in order to increase the variety of attacks within Noctis’ arsenal. His HP Attacks are mostly utility moves, with Armiger being his main source of direct damage against opponents. However Holy is a good move for those familiar with split second counters and getting around pesky Assists.

BRV Ground Attacks

  • Warp Strike (Ground): Noctis throws the Engine Blade forward, warping to it if it hits the opponent and slashing them twice while in the air.
    • EX: Noctis instead conjures the Blade of the Mystic, firing multiple spectral bolts at the opponent before warping to them with a powerful thrust. While this cancels the start up lag of the next attack and brings him airborne, if no follow up is made Noctis will grant himself a damage boost for the next 10s.
  • Tempest: Noctis conjures forth a two-handed sword, heaving it around him in a circle. Can be delayed to increase it’s power and range.
    • EX: Noctis summons the Axe of the Conqueror, his circular strike increasing in ferocity.
  • Rolling Shot: Noctis conjures forth a pistol while diving and rolling in the direction held. Can chain up to four, two shot bursts while either rolling or crouching.
    • EX: Noctis instead conjures the Bow of the Clever, allowing additional shots while letting him move freely instead of with staggered, sequential rolls.
  • Shield Rush: Noctis rushes forward, shield raised. Should it collide with a melee attack he will follow up with a quick combo with sword and shield. Should it collide with a ranged attack he’ll step back and fire two shots from a pistol, allowing it to be canceled straight into Rolling Shot.
    • EX: Noctis instead conjures the Shield of the Just, gaining a small amount of Bravery even if whiffed. The ranged follow up instead has him conjure the Mace of the Fierce, throwing the massive weapon and staggering the opponent. No longer allows Rolling Shot follow up.
  • Javelin: Noctis summons a spear in hand and throws it forward at his opponent.
    • EX: Noctis instead summons the Sword of the Wise, throwing it at his opponent before warping to them. Once up close with the opponent, he may either dodge cancel into any of the equipped aerial attacks, or continue striking the opponent with a series of slashes and warp strikes.

BRV Aerial Attacks

  • Warp Strike (Air): Noctis throws the Engine Blade forward, warping to it if it hits the opponent and slashing them twice while in the air.
  • Death Drop: Noctis conjures forth a spear and thrusts forward. If this hits an opponent Noctis will flip himself over them before diving straight down.
    • EX: Noctis summons the Trident of the Oracle, throwing it at the opponent. If it lands he warps high above them and drops straight down onto the opponent’s head.
  • Wind Cutter: Noctis conjures forth a pair of daggers, slashing wildly while remaining airborne.
    • EX: Noctis instead conjures the Blades of the Wanderer, rushing the opponent first with their fused form to stagger them before slashing wildly. Afterwards the blades refuse and send the opponent flying.
  • Flying Shot: Noctis summons his pistol, hovering in the air while firing off up to eight shots at the opponent.
    • EX: Noctis instead conjures the Star of the Rouge, throwing a series of giant shuriken at his opponent instead. Allows him to strafe through the air while in use.
  • Blade Crush: Noctis summons a giant blade, descending down upon the opponent edge-first.
    • EX: Noctis instead conjures the Sword of the Tall, increasing the range of this move and damaging the opponent rapidly as they’re pulled down with him.

HP Ground Attacks

  • Death: Noctis conjures a dark energy around the opponent. If it successfully engulfs them he can slowly drain their bravery by continuing to hold the button. Should it be released or the opponent be Brave Broken the dark energy will rupture violently, dealing HP damage.
  • Quintcast: Noctis throws a magic flask at the opponent, alternating Thunder and Fire spells for Brave damage before finishing with a Blizzard for HP damage.
  • Holy (Ground): Noctis enters a defensive stance for a short moment before releasing holy flame onto the opponent. Should he be attacked while in this stance Noctis will teleport to his opponent, white fire all around him, and blast the opponent away.Alterna: After a moment of conjuring Noctis ruptures a hole in space-time, attempting to suck the opponent into it. Can be dodge canceled or hit out of the animation.

HP Aerial Attacks

  • Holy (Air): Noctis enters a defensive stance for a short moment before releasing holy flame onto the opponent. Should he be attacked while in this stance Noctis will teleport to his opponent, white fire all around him, and blast the opponent away.
  • Armiger: Noctis will summon forth all of the Royal Arms, dealing damage rapidly to the opponent with a chain of attacks.

EX-Mode: Legacy of the Lucii

  • Regen: Vigor and stamina recover little by little, restoring HP
  • Royal Arms [BRV]: Each bravery attack now gains new properties.
  • Royal Arms [DMG]: Bravery attacks deal increased damage

EX-Burst: Armiger Chain
The power of his ancestors is brought forth to Noctis’ side, manifesting all thirteen Royal Arms. Once teleported to the opponent, Noctis slashes wildly about them, dealing additional damage if O is rapidly tapped.

If the bar is completely filled, Noctis will point to the opponent with the Sword of the Father briefly, with spectral images of previous kings all slashing into the opponent with their royal arms before Noctis deals the final blow himself.

Arcade Type

Spoiler

Type: Unique

Noctis is a highly versatile character, wielding six different weapons with their own properties into battle alongside the powers of the Lucii. Each weapon is designed with a specific purpose in mind, allowing him to be highly adaptable to any situation regardless of which HP attack he’s equipped with. Each of his HP attacks do allow him further utility, however, due to their wide variety of effects.

Normal BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Wide Sweep: Noctis swings a large blade in front of him, heaving opponents away with each swing. The initial attack may be delayed to deal additional damage and increase it’s range.
  • g.^O: Shield Charge: Noctis charges forward with a shield, giving him active guard frames, before slashing in front of him with a sword. Can instead be canceled into Rolling Shot.
  • g.vO: Rolling Shot: Noctis rolls backwards, firing off two shots from a pistol. After the initial shots he may freely roll about and fire up to three more two-round bursts before dismissing the pistol.

  • a.O: Blade Rush: Noctis slashes twice in the air, swinging down a third time if either hit successfully to send his target toward the ground.
  • a.^O: Wind Cutter: Noctis unleashes a rapid flurry from twin daggers.
  • a.vO: Death Drop: Noctis darts forward a short distance in the air. Should he hit an opponent, Noctis vaults himself over them and plummets straight down; carrying the opponent with him to the ground.

  • Dash: Warp Strike: Noctis throws a blade forward. He will warp to whatever the blade hits, be it an opponent or environment. This move causes no knock back.

HP Attacks

  • Armiger: All thirteen Royal Arms come forth, showering down on the opponent initially before Noctis teleports to them and unleashes a chain of powerful strikes that flow between each of them seamlessly.
  • Death: While the button is held down Noctis uses the Ring of Lucii’s power to slowly drain the opponent’s bravery. Once released, he will unleash all of his power in an explosion of necrotic energy. There is a small delay between the Ring no longer tracking the opponent and the explosion, similar to Cloud’s Cherry Blossom, however.
  • Holy: If the button is pressed with proper timing, Noctis will push through the attack sent after him - including HP Attacks - and erupt with holy flame. Should it be held down instead, he will slowly move across the battlefield. This variation drains his Bravery to use, but will regain 200 BRV before dealing HP damage to the opponent.
  • Alterna: The Ring of Lucii unleashes powerful energies, causing a crack in the very fabric of reality. After a short channeling period, a black hole appears near the target opponent. Any that fall into this dimensional tear before it is restored will be damaged.

Unique Ex-Skill

Royal Arms: Noctis takes his rightful place as king, donning the Royal Arms passed down to him from his ancestors. While in this state his HP drains with every attack he uses, his power increases greatly.

Royal Arms BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Axe of the Conqueror: Noctis spins around, dealing enemies to every side of himself.
  • g.^O: Shield of the Just: Noctis darts forward with an even more powerful guard, able to stagger nearly anything met by his shield and recovers Noctis’ health if it does. No longer cancels into his ranged attack, however.
  • g.vO: Bow of the Clever: Noctis fires a crossbow at the opponent, sending them a torrent of projectiles while being able to freely strafe around the battlefield.

  • a.O: Sword of the Wise: Noctis dashes through the air, slashing ahead of him. Should it land he will slash again and kick off the opponent, only to warp strike back into them for another pair of blows.
  • a.^O: Swords of the Wanderer: Noctis rushes the opponent with conjoined blades, stunning them long enough to release the swords and wildly cut with them. The final strike brings the swords together once again for a mighty blow.
  • a.vO: Trident of the Oracle: A hologram hangs in the air as Noctis leaps forward, thrusting his spear. Whether or not the first hit lands, he uses the second hologram made to launch himself high above his foe, coming down upon them with the Trident’s full power.

  • Dash: Scepter of the Pious: Noctis throws a spectral blade at the opponent with the Scepter’s unique power, porting high above them and coming crashing down with the full force of a phantom great blade. Should it hit an environmental object instead, Noctis will warp to it without receiving additional recoil damage.

Notes

Consider the "arcade version" a speculative list until he inevitably drops in Arcade. I dunno if "Unique" is the right type for him though, admittedly. I don't know if his Royal Arms ex skill is a drastic enough change for it, but I know he wouldn't be Shoot and he seems to function as something between Speed and Heavy with the way I have him designed. Oh well.

Dante is designed around his ability to quickly damage the opponent’s Bravery and then hit them with an HP attack before his own can be drained, though he is less rushdown focused than other linker characters. Instead he is able to better cover for himself with attacks spawning almost every range, including quick vertical movement for both natural movement speed and mainly vertical attacks.

During EX-Mode Dante can quickly snowball as well, between his attacks being sped up and Air Trick allowing him to dart around the battlefield chasing down his opponent. With careful application, Dante is able to break camp-heavy strategies while in this state.

BRV Ground Attacks

  • Rebellion: A quick 3-hit combo. Can be branched into a 5 part combo which knocks back nearby enemies before slashing down on foes directly in front of you.
    • |___HP Link: Million Stab A: Quickly stab the enemy with blinding speed creating enough momentum to blast them backward.
  • Stinger: A high speed lunge attack towards the enemy that skewers them through the center.
    • |___HP Link: Million Stab B: Quickly stab the enemy with blinding speed creating enough momentum to blast them backward.
  • High Time: Lunge forward and slice the enemy upward into the sky. If held, High Time will send Dante up with his opponent.
  • Ebony and Ivory: Quickly click off shots, resulting in a large number of bullets being fired in a short amount of time.
    • |___HP Link: Honeycomb Shooter: Fire off shots at an increased rate, turning the opponent into swiss cheese. Can be activated without landing Rapid Shot, but will not track the opponent.
  • Fireworks: Swing a shotgun around like a nunchuck, firing a wide but short range of shots in front.

BRV Aerial Attacks

  • Aerial Rave: Perform a multiple sword strike combo in mid-air doing major damage to the     enemy.
  • Helm Breaker: A devastating overhead attack with enough power to shatter even the sturdiest of man made armored helms of demonic skull bones.
  • Sword Pierce: Throw a sword into the opponent like a drill, rapidly damaging them for a short time.
    • |___HP Link: Killer Bee: A follow up diving kick that slams into the opponent, ripping the blade back out.

HP Ground Attacks

  • Prop Shredder: Spin your sword at high speeds to slice and dice the enemy to bits.
  • Drive: A lightning quick sword swing that sends a powerful shockwave towards enemies. It can be charged to instead fire off three waves of energy that fly through the air.
  • Charge Shot: Focus energy into twin handguns. When released, fire off a magically imbued projectile that flies through the air based on charge time.
  • Royal Release: Negate the damage taken from an enemy's attack, then release all the anger stored within as a violent counterattack.

HP Aerial Attacks

  • Rain Storm: Dive downwards while firing off countless bullets. Will continue damaging the opponent until either the button is released or Dante lands on them.
  • Charge Shot: Focus energy into twin handguns. When released, fire off a magically imbued projectile that flies through the air based on charge time.
  • Royal Release: Negate the damage taken from an enemy's attack, then release all the anger stored within as a violent counterattack.

EX-Mode: Devil Trigger
“LET'S ROCK!”

  • Regen: Vigor and stamina recover little by little, restoring HP
  • Style MAX: Every attack has increased damage and reduced start up and recovery time, allowing Dante to better chain them together.
  • Air Trick: Pressing R1+[_] will warp Dante behind his opponent.

EX-Burst: Danse Macabre
Dante will blast his opponent into the EX-Zone with Coyote-A. Once inside a command prompt similar to Squall and Ultimecia’s will appear, prompting the player to press O in time with a long series of powerful but semi-irregular attacks ending with Dante swinging Rebellion like a baseball bat to send the opponent flying.

If pressed correctly he will follow up with a handful of rapidly fired shots from Ebony and Ivory, ending in a spiraling bullet of pure energy.

“Jackpot, baby!”

If inputted incorrectly, instead of knocking them away with the flat of the blade he will thrust it into the ground and grip it’s handle, kicking the opponent away and spinning in place.

Arcade Type

Spoiler

Type: Heavy

Dante specializes on hitting enemies fast and hard, each hit charging up his EX-Skill while keeping him defended with either a wide range or adding to his mobility. He also as a unique ability that lets him charge his EX-Skill and gain Bravery by avoiding oncoming attacks.

BRV Attacks

  • g.O: Rebellion. A series of slashes that can adapt to the player’s inputs.
    • g.OOO: Combo A Slash three times in a circle, damaging enemies around Dante and knocking them back on the third hit.
    • g.OO-OOO: Combo B. A series of five slashes that specifically targets a single opponent.
    • g.O-OO: Combo C. A 360 cut that can offensively guard Dante from oncoming attackers horizontally. Can chain into a series of rapid thrusts if the O is mashed at the end, racking up large amounts of damage against a single target.
    • During Devil Trigger all three combos are much faster.
  • g.^O: Stinger. A lunging thrust that knocks away enemies in a line. Can chain into a series of rapid thrusts if the O is mashed when making direct contact with an opponent, racking up large amounts of damage against a single target.
    • During Devil Trigger enemies hit will be dragged along with Dante, dealing extra damage, but it's follow up is disabled.
  • g.vO: High Time. A powerful upper slash that can either knock an opponent away or send Dante up while carrying an opponent with him.
    • During Devil Trigger it will drag nearby enemies up as well if O is held.

  • a.O: Air Rave. A series of slashes while flying through the air.
    • During Devil Trigger it has a much faster attack speed.
  • a.^O: Helm Splitter. A direct downward fall that knocks away any enemy hit.
    • During Devil Trigger it breaks through standard guards on the way down.
  • a.vO: Round Trip. Dante throws his sword at an enemy, rapidly damaging them and holding them in place. If any attack other than E&I or an HP Attack is used in this time it send the sword back prematurely.
    • During Devil Trigger this move becomes Sword Pierce. Sword Pierce has reduced start up, end lag, and travel time while also dealing damage at an even faster rate.

  • Dash: E&I. Dante rapidly shoots at an opponent with twin hand guns, holding himself in place if the button is tapped fast enough. This attack has no hitstun, however.
    • During Devil Trigger this ability becomes Twosome Time, allowing Dante to deal half damage to two separate targets at once. The locked on target will always be hit, with the second target based on the direction the left stick is held in. If the left stick is held towards the locked on target it will retain it's original properties.

Special Action

  • L3: Taunt. If pressed right after dodging an attack Dante will gain bonus charge for his EX-Skill and a small amount of Brave at the end of the animation.

HP Attacks

  • Trickster: Dante dashes a fixed distance in the same direction as the L-Stick without spending hi Dash gauge and may do so twice in a row if  on the ground. Should he make contact he footstools behind them and unloads two shotgun shells into their back with Coyote-A.
    • During Devil Trigger he may hold [_] to teleport behind the current locked on opponent.
  • Swordmaster. Dante spins his sword to knock an opponent up a short distance before reversing its spin to rapidly damage and opponent and hold them in place until either [_] is released or they suffer from Brave Break. Unlike other HP Attacks this technique doesn't immediately go off if Round Trip is in effect, instead ending it prematurely.
    • During Devil Trigger if [_] is held Dante charges energy into his sword, increasing it's speed and range based on charge time. If fully charged he may throw out two follow up energy waves to deal further HP damage to anyone they hit.
  • Gun Slinger: Dante may hold [_] to charge up energy into his handguns, though he is able to move and attack freely while doing so. When the button is released he will fire off a super powered projectile that can punch through enemies to deal damage to multiple targets.
    • During Devil Trigger the charge time is significantly reduced, plus if [_] is pressed rapidly he will rapidly shoot the opponent to rack up Brave damage, ending in a fully powered Charge Shot.
  • Royal Guard. Dante parties an incoming attack, stunning an enemy. If [_] is pressed again he charges past them, dealing HP damage.
    • During Devil Trigger Royal Guard may block HP attacks, as well as successful parries adding the power of the attack parried to Dante’s own Bravery whether or not he chooses to follow up.

Unique Ex-Skill
Devil Trigger. When activated it grants Dante Regen, Protect, Bravery, and gives all of his attacks new properties for a limited time. His EX-Skill can only be charged by attacking enemies and taking damage, but doing so while it's active won't extend it's duration.

If the button is held while activating it will cause a large explosion around Dante that deals a large amount of Brave damage and knocks them away, but lowers its duration.

Notes

Taking a short break from Final Fantasy characters to upload this mostly to prove a point. You can consider 012 as "DMC4 Type" and Arcade as "DMC3 Type" pretty easily, I think. Despite this I decided on using DMC1's soundtrack for his musical themes since, in my opinion, it's really underappreciated. If I do more DMC characters I'll probably not have them share dungeon themes, instead going with whatever game I feel fits them best.

Also the unique EX-Skill mechanic was just for fluff reasons. I felt like it'd better encourage aggressive play with Dante, and better match the point I wanted to make with him.
